What these are going to be mainly designed for is your light snow situations, so this is pretty much for more occasional use, not necessarily full-time use. They're also low-profile, so they're going to give you a nice, smooth ride in the light snow situations, and they also come equipped with their own tensioning device, as opposed to others where you would have to buy this separately.The chains have a diagonal pattern to them, which is going to give you a little bit extra stopping power during turns. These do come in a quantity of two and do also have a convenient carrying case, so once you're finished using them, you can place them in the back of your Dodge Grand Caravan and they're ready for next time.These are also SAE Class S chains, which are designed to work with vehicles with limited wheel well clearance, such as our Dodge Grand Caravan here, and they meet Department of Transportation requirements in all states.Today, we're working with tire size 225 65R17. Before we actually put the chains on the tire, we went ahead and laid them out on the ground to make sure there's no kinks or runs in the lines. Also, how we have the chains laid out right now, we can just lift them up and set them on tire, but just so you know, we want this portion of the chain facing away from the tire. Glacier Square-Link Snow Tire Chains Review - 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today on our 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan we have our Glacier Chain Snow Chains, part number PWPLC1142. The square chain gives you plenty of grip in the snow because it's got that nice sharp edge to it. Now before we put these on we want to spread it out, make sure we don't have it kinked up, or anything. Like I have over here, we just slide it up and over our tire. We want to make sure that this chain and the opposite chain is about evenly spaced, so on this one it sits about middle of the sidewall right here. On this end we have one side with a hook, and one side with our tensioner. We want to make sure that the tensioner is on the outside of the tire so we can tighten that after we have it put in place. Also, we have our cross chains here. We have this hook that we want to make sure the smooth side is towards the tire. That way these don't dig into our tire and destroy the sidewall. We have this spread out on the floor which is what you want to do every time you pull these out. Make sure there's no kinks in it. Make sure you can look at all your links, and there's no cracks or anything. These are nice, because it's square linked chain, so you get more traction because of that. Today in our 1007 dodge grand caravan, we're going to review and install. The glacier cable snow tire chains, part number PW-1038 on tires size P-21565R16. Here's what our cable chains are going to look like once their installed. The cross chain is a low profile design with the hardened steel rollers to break through that snow, sleet, and ice buildup on the road. Its got a low profile design which makes it good for narrow wheel well clearances but also for traveling on highway use. The install is relatively easy and tool free, however it is recommended to go ahead and do it a couple of times in a controlled environment, vs on the roadside in inclement weather. more

We just want to ensure that the tire chain will fit correctly around the tire. We'll then drape the tire chains over the tire making sure that the hooks are facing outward so that we don't cause any damage to the tire. Once the tire chain is centered onto the tire we can move to the inside of the tire where we'll connect the male and female end of the tire chain. We'll then move to the outside of the tire where we will again connect the male and female end of the tire chain. The manufacturer does recommend a cable tensioner Part Number PW99 that well use in a pertagular 00:53 shape with the hooks facing out to add some extra security to our tire chain. That completes an assess fit of the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, Part Number PW1038 on tire size 235/60R16 on our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan. . more

Today on our 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan well be test fitting the Glacier Square Link Snow Tire Chains part number PWPLC1138 on tire size 225/65-16. Now this vehicle is front wheel drive so we will be installing the tire chains on the front set of tires. To begin our test fit well first lay the chains right out on the ground to undo any kinks or tangles. This will ensure that the tire chain will fit correctly around the tire. Well now drape the tire chain over the tire making sure it is centered and the hooks are facing out so that we dont damage the outer wall of the tire. Well then move to the inside of the tire where we will connect the hook and link. more

Today, on our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, we'll be test fitting the Thule Self-tensioning Snow Tire Chains for passenger vehicles, Part Number TH00204104. We'll be test fitting these tire chains on tire size 235/60R16. Now, this vehicle is front-wheel drive, so we'll be installing the tire chains on the front set of the tires. To begin our test fit, we'll have the chains flat out on the ground to undo any kinks or tangles. This will ensure that the tire chain fits correctly around the tire. Now, starting with the yellow end of the tire chain, we'll thread it to the back set of the tire and bring up the two ends of the tire chain and connect them together at the 12:00 position at the tire. more

We'll be test fitting these tire chains on tire size 235/60R16. Now, this vehicle is front-wheel drive, so we'll be installing the tire chains on the front set of the tires. To begin our test fit, we'll have the chains flat out on the ground to undo any kinks or tangles. This will ensure that the tire chain fits correctly around the tire. Now, starting with the yellow end of the tire chain from the rear to the front of the vehicle, we'll slide the tire chain back behind the tire. more

Today on our 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan, well be test fitting the Thule Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains, part number TH00204102 on 215/65-16 tires. This vehicle is front wheel drive, so well go ahead and put the tire chains on the front tires. To begin our test fit, we will first lay the chains out on the ground to get out any tangles or kinks. Well now take the tire chains with the yellow cord facing the right and wrap it around the backside of the tire, bring it up around the tire and hook the yellow end to the blue end. Once you get the tire chains around the tire, making sure that the hooks are facing outward so they dont puncture the tire, you can take the red clip and the red hook and hook them together. Now that the red hook and the red clips are secured, you can take the silver cord, wrap it through the ratcheting hook and secure it with the self-tensioning cord. more

Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today were testing the fit of the Glacier snow chains, part number PW2016C. Were going to apply them on tire size 21565 16 on a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. Since this is a front-wheel drive vehicle we are applying the snow chains to the front wheels of the vehicle. For our demonstration, were going to apply the chain to the passenger side tire. As always, be sure to check your vehicles owners manual to insure that these snow change will in fact fit your vehicle. First we lay the chain our flat on the ground. more
